Akira celebrated its 9th Anniversary party on July 14th at all three
Bucktown locations. The big bash featured plenty of free cocktails, food,
and entertainment. It was the perfect event to make additions to your
summer wardrobes, because everything was buy one get one 1/2 off!
What can be more fun then enjoying cocktails on a summer evening while
shopping with great deals?

Akira Studios' featured different themes in each store; the men's store's
was one big Toga Party; Lifeguards were on duty at the shoe store for
some BayWatch beach fun; Wild Wild West featured live farm animals,
cowgirls and cowboys at flagship women's store.

If you missed this big event, be on the lookout July 2012. When owner
Jon Cotay was interviewed by Marcus Riley of NBC5, he mentioned that
planning for next year's party starts right away.
