SAIC FASHION SHOW 2011

The Fashion Show 2011 took place in Millennium Park for the first time. The
Fashion Show 2011—featured more than 250 garments from SAIC's Fashion
Design BFA candidates showcased by 60 professional models from Factor
Runway, it was the largest ever in the show's 77-year history. Fashion and art
lovers from across the nation enjoyed a spectacular runway show featuring
cutting-edge garments by the next generation of up-and-coming designers,
presented against the backdrop of Chicago's beautiful Millennium Park.

The School of the Art Institute of
Chicago's Annual Fashion Benefit Gala

SAIC's annual benefit gala supports student scholarships. The event begins
with a cocktail reception, includes a complete runway show following the
presentation of the SAIC Legend of Fashion Award, and concludes with an
elegant post-show dinner. Organized by SAIC's volunteer Fashion
Committee, THE WALK is chaired by Marilyn Fields and Greg Cameron of
Chicago.

A highlight of THE WALK 2011 presented by Swarovski was when The New
York Times Style Magazine Editor, Sally Singer (formerly Fashion News and
Features Director at Vogue), presented the SAIC Legend of Fashion Award
to Ikram Goldman, owner of the renowned boutique ikram and trusted advisor
to style-conscious women, First Lady Michelle Obama among them.
